. Strict practise of quality, technical and medical standards are taken into consideration by both government and private healthcare institutions. Independent watchdogs set by the Ministry of Health constantly monitor these factors.
. Approximately 55% of Turkey's more than 1200 hospitals are owned and operated by the Ministry of Health of Turkey, whilst the rest are owned by universities, private companies and foreign entities.
. Most of the hospitals have local and international accreditation, such as, the JCI (Joint Commissions International), the JACHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations), ISO (International Organization for Standardization).
. There are many English-speaking doctors and medical staff that are certified by the Turkish Medical Association in most hospitals in Turkey and they are the members of organizations according to their specializations.
